Opal Financial Planning Ltd is a local company with a number of experienced Financial Advisers situated across the Midlands and Yorkshire. As a partner of M&G Advice, they have over 30 years of combined experienced in the financial services industry.

Opal Financial Planning Ltd helps people achieve financial security by providing expertise across all areas of financial planning, including retirement, investments, and estate planning. Mike Pike - Director

Matt Pike has been in the financial services industry for 16 years, having worked previously for Halifax, Nationwide, and Wesleyan and holds a Diploma in Financial Planning. Matt was delighted to join Opal Financial Planning Ltd, as part of M&G Advice, in 2022, and has now become the director/owner of the business, setting down long-term roots here to continue delivering expertise financial advice and building trusted client relationships.

Matt is married to his wife, Alex, and lives in Mansfield Woodhouse. In his spare time, he enjoys walking their Wheaten Terriers, and is a season ticket holder at Sheffield Wednesday.

George Oxley – Financial Adviser

George is a dedicated Financial Adviser holding a Diploma in Financial Planning. George cares deeply about his clients and is passionate about guiding individuals towards financial freedom.

He believes that financial planning is not just about numbers, it's about your life, your goals, and your future. George helps people achieve financial freedom by providing expertise across all areas of financial planning, including protection, retirement, investments, and estate planning.

In short, George provides trusted, personal and expert advice.

George is married to his wife Sarah, and together they have a daughter, Arabella, and a cocker spaniel called Tilly. Outside of work, George enjoys playing golf and taking part in triathlons.

Bilal Hussain – Financial Adviser

Bilal is an experienced Financial Adviser with more than 15 years in financial services and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.

As a Chartered Financial Adviser and Associate Member of The London Foundation for Banking & Finance and with many successful years in the sector, Bilal was delighted to become part of Opal Financial Planning Ltd.

Bilal helps people achieve financial security by providing expertise across all areas of financial planning, including retirement planning, protection, investments & savings and estate planning. He takes pride in providing investment solutions to meet his clients’ needs, following a rigorous assessment of their individual financial circumstances.

Quite simply, Bilal provides sound, personal and expert advice.

In his spare time, Bilal enjoys playing Cricket for his local club and is an avid follower of Formula 1 particularly enjoying travelling to new countries to watch the racing.

George originally came to see us late last year to discuss our retirement plans. He was incredibly patient however stupid our questions were and he explained the process very clearly.

Bilal has listened carefully and given advice regarding the optimistic feasibility of my wife and I retiring early at 62 with enough income to live off comfortably until our state pensions kick in. Bilal also set in motion the transfers of some of our pensions into single investment funds that have the choice of drawdown and also an annuity if desired.
